  ETPs develop collaborative solutions

European Technology Platforms (ETPs) play a key role in ensuring that eco-innovations make the transition from research to commercialisation, says ETAP, the Environmental Technologies Action Plan. One of ETAP´s main priorities is to ensure that the right innovations emerge to meet environmental challenges. In order to guarantee that these technologies develop at a good rate, it is important that a collaborative approach is taken by academia, industry and policy makers.

WssTP and Suschem collaboration

The processing of aqueous and non- aqueous liquids is a major challenge in the chemical processing industry. At the same time, water is becoming an increasingly scarce resource. This presents two challenges: First, to promote science based industry and promote a sustainable European supply industry; second, to achieve a sustainable use of water as a raw material in society. WssTP and Suschem, the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry, are working together to coordinate their activities to face these challenges.

"An excellent guideline into the future" says Professor Peter Wilderer

After the publication of the SRA, WssTP is very pleased to present a brief press review of several published articles about our platform and the SRA. It confirms the impact of the SRA in bringing a vision for research and innovation. According to Professor Peter Wilderer (TUM- IAS; Stockholm Water Prize 2003), “this document is by far more informative and up-to-date, and by far less emotional than the old SRA. Thank you for an excellent guideline into the future.”
